It’s been a while now since my last post, even though I said that I would try to post daily. I have been quite busy these days, and it wont get better the next weeks before summer vacation.
I’ll try to upload some photos I’ve taken the last couple of days and publish them over the next weeks.

These photo, which is quite different than what I have posted earlier, is of one of the lions in a zoo here in Norway. I actually got pretty close to one of them. Maybe two feet away from it? Through a fence of course

Another photo from Aker Brygge. I think I prefer this one more than the first.

I was out some nights ago, trying to get a good picture of the huge cruiseship “Independence of the Seas”, which were at dock here in Oslo last week. Unfortunately, the ship was out “cruising” for the night, so I only got to shoot some photos of Aker Brygge(brygge means dock).

This street is the same as where this shot was taken. And this shot shot was taken on the same day as these shots. 

This guy was standing on the top of this electrical box, playing Norwegian songs, or whatever people told him to play. And he was shouting really load on italian I think, and trying to draw a lot of attention. Didn’t work that good. 

After walking around several hours, we met him somewhere else. On a new box. Playing the same songs.

A week ago they started to film the new motion picture “Max Manus“.

So it’s time to celebrate! Well, just a little bit. I went to the grand opening of the new opera house in Oslo a week ago. It was a magnificent opening with the royal family attending, a bunch of important people from other countries, and me and a couple of friends, standing outside waiting for the fireworks. 

I took a lot of photos, even though most of them didn’t turn out to be the “photo of the year”. I was standing behind a guy, getting his head and another guys arm in the photos all the time. Not really good working conditions. But it was magnificent! The fireworks was just stunning.  Even though I think we have used too much money on the opera house, it is a beautiful house, and the opening was cool :)  I will try to take some photos of the house itself later. 

And now it is only 20 minutes left of my birthday. I’ve had a great day, spending it with my girlfriend and my friends. 

This one was taken just a couple of seconds after this one, and is my favourite from that trip. 
Even though the weather looked great that day, it was extremely windy, and since we tried to take a shortcut, and ended up walking for an hour longer than neccesary, I have to say it was a nice day.  

Another one of the shots of the skaters. This must be the one I am most pleased with. I’m quite satisified with both the composition and the colors.

I went out on Saturday, taking some photos around downtown Oslo. For the occasion I had borrow a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM L lens, which is just spectaular to work with. But trying different lenses, I also notice how much I love my 17-40mm. I’ll be posting some of the other shots I took that day, primary with the wideangle.
